I can't see the reason for making it that way on purpose, since it actually makes it look kinda weird once you have both sides laced all the way up completely. So, I'm assuming that it's just a design flaw? It's too bad actually, because otherwise, it would've been a really cute top.

Super cute and I really love this tank. I wear it often, but taking the ribbons out to wash it is kind of annoying. I don't think I would risk washing it with the ribbons in because they might get caught on something and rip the lace.
